SOF NSO Result 2025-26 Declared: Check Level 1 Scores & Ranks

The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) has officially announced the results for the National Science Olympiad (NSO) Level 1 for the academic year 2025-26. Students from Classes 1 to 12 who participated in the exams held in November and December 2025 can now download their digital scorecards.

The Level 1 result determines the eligibility for the prestigious Level 2 exam, scheduled to take place in February 2026.

How to Check NSO Level 1 Results Online

To view your performance and rank, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official result portal: results.sofworld.org/results.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select “SOF NSO 2025-26”.
  3. Enter your Roll Number using the format: SchoolCode-Class-RollNo (e.g., AN1025-08-005).
  4. Complete the captcha/math verification.
  5. Click on “View Results” to see your International, Zonal, and School ranks.

Who Qualifies for NSO Level 2?

For students in Class 3 to Class 12, qualification for the Level 2 exam is based on the following criteria:

  • Global Top 5%: Top 5% of candidates, class-wise, who appeared for the Level 1 exam.
  • Zone/State Top 25: Top 25 rank holders from each Zone and each Class.
  • School Level: Class Topper where at least 10 students from a class appeared and scored minimum 50% marks.

Note: Students of Class 1 & 2 are judged solely on Level 1 performance; no Level 2 exam is conducted for them.

Student Performance Report (SPR)

Every participant receives a comprehensive SPR. It provides a deep dive into your scientific strengths:

  • Section A: Marks and Rank achieved at School/City/Zonal/International levels.
  • Section B: Past Year-wise performance graph.
  • Section C: Correct answers vs. Student’s answers for every question.
  • Section D: Percentile score analysis compared to the rest of the world.

Awards and Scholarships

International toppers are awarded cash prizes up to ₹50,000, gold medals, and trophies. Zonal toppers receive cash awards and medals of excellence. All participants receive a Certificate of Participation.
